Job summary

Guidepost Montessori in Fort Leavenworth is hiring an Assistant Guide to support a mixed-age Montessori classroom for children ages 0–6. You will help create a calm, engaging environment where children explore and grow at their own pace, under the guidance of Lead Guides.

This role emphasizes observation, preparation of learning spaces, supporting individual and small-group activities, and building warm relationships with children and families.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 0–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• Positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• A love for working with young children.
• Interest in Montessori approach (prior Montessori experience welcome but not required).

Responsibilities

• Observe children closely to understand and support their individual needs
• Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment
• Support individual and small-group learning activities
