Guidepost Montessori in Evanston is seeking an Assistant Guide to support a mixed-age Montessori classroom for children aged 0–6. You will help create a calm, engaging space where children learn at their own pace and develop independence.

You’ll assist in preparing beautiful learning areas, supporting individualized activities, and partnering with Lead Guides to nurture curiosity, confidence, and a love of learning in every child.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children ages 3–6 in a school or childcare setting.
• Positive, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• Genuine love for working with young children.
• Interest in learning and growing within the Montessori approach.

Responsibilities

• Observe children closely to understand and support their individual needs.
• Help prepare and maintain a beautiful, orderly classroom environment.
• Support individual and small-group learning activities.
