Impact Fire Services is seeking a Fire Alarm Technician to support installations, service, inspections, testing, and programming of fire alarm systems across West Montana, reporting to the Billings, MT office. The role emphasizes safety, vehicle maintenance, and client communication.

Preferred candidates have fire alarm experience, a related electrical background, and ability to travel to sites while complying with safety procedures and state licensing requirements.

Qualifications

• Fire alarm installation experience preferred.
• Electrical background is a plus.
• Programming on Edwards systems is a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Possess a valid driver’s license and driving record meeting company requirements.
• Proficiency with basic test equipment (multimeter, programming laptop, lifts).
• Comprehensive knowledge of fire alarm codes and standards.

Responsibilities

• Installations, service work, inspections, testing, repairs, and programming of fire alarm systems.
• Learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain state licensing.
• Maintain a clean, well‑organized vehicle and safe work environment.
• Travel to job sites and coordinate with internal/external customers and monitoring companies.
