Job summary

Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is hiring a Telemetry Monitor Technician to continuously surveil EKGs on central station monitors and monitor heart rhythms in special care units using telemetry equipment.

No prior experience is required; a high school diploma or equivalent and completion of a cardiac arrhythmia interpretation program are required. Preferred candidates have 1–2 years of related experience and computer skills.

Qualifications

• Computer skills and basic computer literacy required.
• Preferred: 1–2 years of related experience and ability to recognize heart rhythm changes.

HOW YOU'LL MAKE AN IMPACT

Job Summary:

• Continuous surveillance of EKG on multiple central station monitors.
• Monitors heart rhythms of patients in special care units using telemetry equipment.
• Reports any changes in EKG rate or rhythm monitoring to clinical nurse.

• RN / Nurse Manager

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO APPLY

Required Education:

• High school diploma or equivalent and successful completion of cardiac arrhythmia interpretation program and passing an in-depth arrhythmia-specific test using caliper measurements and evaluation of rhythm changes over time using full disclosure.

Required Experience:

• No previous experience is necessary.

Preferred Experience:

• One (1) to two (2) years of job-related experience; must be able to recognize, evaluate, and interpret heart rhythm changes and perform the duties of a unit secretary.
• Computer skills/training required.
