A leading healthcare organization seeks a Monitor Technician for the Cardiovascular Unit at OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City. The role involves patient monitoring, ECG performance, and equipment management during night shifts. Ideal candidates have experience in patient care and skills in arrhythmia interpretation.
This is a 12-bed unit, that is housed in the penthouse/8th floor of the North Tower of the adult OU Health facility near downtown, Oklahoma City. We are a part of the Cardiovascular institute of OU Health, and are recognized by our royal blue color scrubs on campus.We share the 8th floor with our sister CVICU, allowing for quick and lateral unit transfers. The stepdown unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 3.

Under general supervision, will monitor telemetry set up on patients.

Minimum Qualifications:
Education: None
Experience: One (1) year experience performing work related to patient care in a healthcare setting, six (6) months of which must have included experience as a monitor technician OR successful completion of the OU Medical Center training program OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Licensure/Certifications/Registrations Required: CPR for Healthcare Providers upon hire
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of basic arrhythmia interpretations and performing ECG tracings is helpful. Good computer skills. Good interpersonal skills that allow for developing effective working relationships with staff.
