Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center in Lancaster, PA is seeking a part-time Monitor Technician for the night shift. The role requires 0.60 FTE with hours from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, including every 3rd weekend. Night differential is $2.50/hour.
Position focuses on continuous telemetry monitoring and timely reporting to nursing staff. Qualifications include a High School degree or equivalent and AHA BLS certification prior to orientation. Preferred is current BLS certification.

The responsibilities of the monitor technician include continuous observation of patient heartbeat patterns, noting heartbeat irregularities in the patients’ telemetry rhythm, ensuring that heart monitors are functioning correctly, and reporting any concerns to the RN in charge of the patient/charge nurse. Possess troubleshooting skills to recognize monitoring the problems, identify probable causes, and seek solutions to correct the problem.

AHA BLS required prior to orientation completion
