Job Description - MONITOR TECHNICIAN (16 hrs/nights/EOW)(Temple University Hospital) (251676)

Observes patient's rhythms on telemetry monitors, continually assesses patient's baseline rhythm and communicates any changes according to department policies and procedures. Maintains inventory of telemetry and cardiac monitoring supplies, tracks telemetry transmitters, orders supplies, assesses and reports any system malfunctions or equipment breakdowns.

Education
  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent (Required)
  2. Non Degree Program: Completed course work in Cardiac Arrhythmia from an accredited program (Required)
  3. Other: Candidates must be able to pass basic arrhythmia test and demonstrate competency in rhythm interpretation. (Required)
  4. Trade School: Medical Assistant and/or EKG Technician program (Preferred)
Experience
  1. 1 Year experience working in a hospital environment and handling patients, or related healthcare position. (Required)
