Job summary

Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital, part of Lifepoint Health, is seeking a Monitor Technician to join our Somerset, KY team. Under the supervision of an RN, you will perform telemetry monitoring, surveil multiple monitors, identify arrhythmias, and report findings to nursing staff. This is a 3x12 night shift with rotating weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring is preferred.
• Basic computer skills and patient data entry.

Responsibilities

How You'll Contribute

• Under the supervision of an RN, performs telemetry monitoring.
• Performs continual surveillance of multiple monitors.
• Identifies significant arrhythmias and/or signs of patient distress and intervenes appropriately. Identifies and corrects for artifacts.
• Reports abnormal assessment and telemetry findings or changes in patient physical, mental, and emotional conditions to nursing staff.
• Reports equipment problems to supervisor.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent required. Additional requirements include:

• Handle with Care (HWC) within 6 months of hire/transfer

Schedule: 3x12, Nights (7p-7a), rotating weekends
