Pay for this position is $17.14/hour. This is an hourly position.

Overview

POSITION SUMMARY: Monitor Technicians function as members of the Patient Care Team. They observe, monitor, and interpret patients' EKG rhythms via remote viewing stations. They assemble and maintain logs, recognize and identify cardiac rhythms, alarms, and emergent situations. They are responsible for assembly, maintenance, cleaning, and tracking of equipment. They also handle patient charts, ensuring documents are filed and scanned into EMR in a timely manner. The Monitor Technician communicates with nursing staff and may run errands as requested. They perform duties related to patient acceptance, registration, and electronic transfer. They utilize fax/copy machines, Hyland scanner, and pneumatic tube system.
