Position Summary:
Assumes responsibility for obtaining current accurate information and expanding knowledge base through utilization of appropriate resources.Responsible for 24-hour interpretation of all telemetry patients.Communicates with Registered Nurse and Nursing Assistant via Cisco phone system to accurately manage telemetry needs and rhythm changes.Completes rhythm interpretation and documentation every 2 hours and runs a comprehensive report (telemetry strips) and posts to patient charts every 6 hours.Obtains accurate data as to phone assignments for all telemetry capable units.Reviews report sheets at the end of the shift with his/her replacement.
