Job summary

Parkridge Medical Center in Chattanooga, part of the HCA Healthcare family, is seeking a Monitor Tech for night shifts with rotating weekends. Under RN supervision, you will monitor patient rhythms, communicate changes to the nursing team, and maintain telemetry supplies in a fast-paced hospital environment.

Qualified candidates have a HS diploma, Dysrhythmia training, BLS, and at least 1 year of monitor tech experience, plus cardiac monitor technician class completion.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Dysrhythmia course completed or within 90 days of hire.
• BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Minimum 1 year of hospital monitor tech experience.
• Completion of cardiac monitor technician class required.

Responsibilities

• Interpret Rhythms and Arrhythmias.
• Report changes in heart rate/rhythm to nursing staff.
• Maintain Telemetry Supplies.
• Record patient condition using computerized documentation systems.
• Perform duties with age-specific factors.

Job Summary and Qualifications

Under RN supervision, the Telemetry Technician provides direct nursing carein accordance withestablished policies and procedures of the Parkridge Health System.Works closely with the nursing care team to deliver the nursing process effectively.Demonstrates knowledge of human growth and development and care of patients appropriate to the ages of patients served. The Telemetry Technicianis responsible forassistingwithmonitoringthe patient’s cardiac rhythms and communicating with the nursing team, promotingteamworkandmaintainingthe physical environment.

What you will do in this role:

• You will interpret Rhythms and Arrhythmias.

• You will report all changes in heart rate/rhythm toappropriate nursingstaff.

• You will maintainTelemetry Supplies.

• You will record patient conditionutilizingcomputerized documentation systems.

• You will perform duties with full understanding of related age specific factors.

  What qualifications you will need:

• High School Diploma/GED

• Completion of Dysrhythmia course or within90 daysof hire unless otherwise approved by the Department Director.

• BLS Healthcare Provider.

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a monitor tech in a hospital setting.

• Completion of cardiac monitor technician classrequired.

Parkridge Medical Center is a 270+ bed hospital. We are near downtown Chattanooga. We feature comprehensive diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. These services include cardiovascular surgery and cancer treatment. These services include intensive care, orthopedic and spine surgery, and rehabilitation. The facility includes a state of the art neurosurgery program. Patients also have access to OB‑GYN services. Patients have access to a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. They also have access to (NICU) and behavioral health treatment centers for children and adults.
