Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical in Macon, GA is seeking a Telemetry Monitor Technician to provide continuous ECG monitoring, interpret cardiac rhythms, and support accurate telemetry workflow.

You will maintain inventories, report malfunctions promptly, and ensure equipment is in working order while adhering to hospital policies. Education includes GED; no experience required, with CCMTT/CRAT preferred and training within 30 days.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• No experience is required; 1 year as a monitor technician is preferred.
• PHC telemetry monitoring competency assessment within 30 days is required.
• CCMTT or CRAT certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous ECG monitoring and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
• Maintain inventories, supplies, hardware and telemetry transmitters in good condition and report malfunctions promptly.

Responsibilities

Possesses knowledge and ability to provide continuous ECG monitoring through assessment of EKG strips and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias interpretation including: measurement of P-R intervals, QRS widths, and ST segment deviations. Possesses troubleshooting skills to recognize monitoring problems, identifies probable causes, and seeks solutions to correct the problem. Responsible for maintaining inventories, supplies, hardware and telemetry transmitters in working condition and responsible for appropriately reporting malfunctions promptly as applicable.

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a monitor technician Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Successful completion of PHC telemetry monitoring competency assessment within 30 Days Required
• Certification as a Certified Cardiac Monitor Telemetry Technician (CCMTT) through the American Education Certification Association Preferred or
• Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International Preferred
