Job summary

Piedmont Macon Medical is seeking a Monitor Telemetry Technician to provide continuous ECG monitoring and accurate rhythm interpretation. You will assess EKG strips, identify rhythm abnormalities, and document findings for timely clinical decision-making.

No experience is required to apply; 1 year of monitoring experience is preferred. Training is provided, with opportunities for growth within Piedmont's supportive care teams.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED required.
• No experience required; 1 year of monitor technician experience preferred.
• PHC telemetry monitoring competency assessment must be completed within 30 days.
• CCMTT or CRAT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous ECG monitoring and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias.
• Maintain inventories, supplies, hardware and telemetry transmitters in working condition; report malfunctions promptly.

Responsibilities:

Possesses knowledge and ability to provide continuous ECG monitoring through assessment of EKG strips and accurate interpretation of cardiac rhythms and dysrhythmias interpretation including: measurement of P-R intervals, QRS widths, and ST segment deviations. Possesses troubleshooting skills to recognize monitoring problems, identifies probable causes, and seeks solutions to correct the problem. Responsible for maintaining inventories, supplies, hardware and telemetry transmitters in working condition and responsible for appropriately reporting malfunctions promptly as applicable.

Work Experience

• No experience required Required
• 1 year of experience as a monitor technician Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• Successful completion of PHC telemetry monitoring competency assessment within 30 Days Required
• Certification as a Certified Cardiac Monitor Telemetry Technician (CCMTT) through the American Education Certification Association Preferred or
• Certified Rhythm Analysis Technician (CRAT) through Cardiovascular Credentialing International Preferred
