Sentara Albemarle Medical Center in Elizabeth City, NC is seeking a Monitor Tech for the Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit. This full-time role involves rotating shifts and requires an HS diploma or equivalent with completion of a monitor technician surveillance program upon hire.

The Monitor Tech will observe, interpret, and document EKG tracings, promptly notify staff of dysrhythmias, operate telemetry systems, and ensure equipment is kept in safe working order.

City/State Elizabeth City, NC Work Shift Rotating Overview: Sentara Albemarle Medical Center is hiring a Monitor Tech for the Intermediate Care/Step Down Unit.

Hours/Shift: Full time, Rotating Shifts Education HS Diploma or Equivalent Certification/Licensure EKG/Monitor Tech Completion of a monitor technician surveillance program/course required upon hire.

The Monitor Tech observes, recognizes, interprets, evaluates, and documents EKG tracings on telemetry-monitored patients in order to detect deviations from patient's norm.

Promptly notifies appropriate personnel of dysrhythmias.

Operates and utilizes monitoring system to full capacity.

Ensures proper and safe functioning of the telemetry equipment.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $19.55 - $28.69 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities. Compensation within the range may vary based on qualifications, experience, location, market conditions, and business needs.
