Job summary

Union General Hospital, Blairsville GA, is seeking a Monitor Tech/ICU for Night shift. You will obtain, analyze, and document patient rhythm strips under the supervision of an RN, interpret orders, answer calls, and help maintain telemetry units.

The role includes basic ward clerk duties and patient care tasks as needed. The ideal candidate holds a HS diploma or GED, CNA or MA certification, and BLS certification within 60 days.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• CNA or Medical Assistant certification required.
• BLS certification to be obtained within 60 days of hire.
• EKG Class & Competency.
• Minimum up to 1 year related experience; 2–5 years preferred.

DESCRIPTION:

This position is responsible for obtaining, analyzing and accurately documenting patient rhythm strips under the supervision of an RN. Other job responsibilities may include but are not limited to: interpreting and processing physician orders, answering phones, maintaining telemetry units, ward clerk duties, and patient care (ex. Feeding, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting and vital signs). This should be performed under the supervision of an RN or the Nurse Manager.

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION:HS Diploma or GED

LICENSURE:C.N.A. or Medical Assistant certification required

CERTIFICATION:BLS (Basic Life Saving) - to be obtained within 60 days of hire.
