Job summary

Southern Hills Hospital and Medical Center in Las Vegas is seeking a Monitor Technician to vigilantly observe patients’ heart activity, interpret results, and promptly report abnormalities to the care team. Job Summary And Qualifications

As a Monitor Technician, your work is vital with monitoring patients’ heart performance and checking for any abnormalities, such as irregular heartbeats, arrhythmias, and cardiac arrest. Your position as a monitor tech, plays an important role in the care of patients and healthcare providers by consistently interpreting test results and reporting those results to the healthcare personnel team. • You will routinely monitor patients, review patient charts, send charts after to medical records after discharge
• You will have daily interaction with patients and other healthcare personnel
• Consistently, accuracy and timeliness are extremely important in this role, you will be transcribing physician orders 100% of the time plus alerting nursing to STAT and NOW orders

What qualifications you will need:

• Current BCLS
• Successful completion of arrhythmia interpretation class or demonstrated proficiency through testing
• Basic medical terminology class
• High School Diploma or equivalent
