Job summary

St Mary’s Health Care System in Athens, GA is seeking a Monitor Technician to join Clinical Services for the 12 Hour Night Shift. You will obtain, analyze, and document patient rhythm strips under RN supervision, supporting telemetry operations.

The role involves interpreting physician orders, answering calls, and providing limited patient care under supervision, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits from day one.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• BLS certification required; Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• 1 year telemetry and clerical duties preferred; hospital or clinical experience preferred.
• Computer skills required; medical terminology preferred.

What You Will Do

The Monitor Tech is responsible for obtaining, analyzing and accurately documenting patient rhythm strips under the supervision of an RN.

Other job responsibilities may include but are not limited to: interpreting and processing physician orders, answering phones, maintaining telemetry units

Some limited patient care (ex. Feeding, dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and vital signs). This should be performed under the supervision of an RN or the Nurse Manager.

What You Will Need

Licensure/Certification/Registration: Nursing Assistant certification preferred. BLS certification required.

Education: Must be a high school graduate or have GED equivalent.

Experience: 1 year of telemetry and clerical duties preferred. Hospital or Clinical experience preferred

Special Qualifications: Computer skills required. Medical terminology preferred.
