Job summary

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor passengers and maintain order on the bus.
• Communicate behavior issues to the driver and school staff.
• Assist with pre-trip and post-trip inspections, including child checks.
• Assist students loading and unloading at stops.
• Attend safety and training meetings.
• Conduct emergency evacuation if needed.
• Assist driver with paperwork for district and state.
• Clean the interior of the bus (sweeping, dusting, windows).
• Perform other duties as required by contract.

Description:

• Knows the route and remains alert to monitor the welfare of passengers while enroute. Keeps order on the bus.
• Communicates behavior problems and conditions of various stops with the driver. Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
• Assists in pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the bus, including child checks, CSRS and wheel chairlifts
• Assists students in the loading and unloading process.
• Cooperates and communicates with school personnel, parents and students.
• Attend all safety and training meetings.
• Conducts emergency evacuation from the bus, including exiting from the emergency door. May also require physical removal of disabled child from bus.
• Assist driver in completion of required paperwork for District, State, ICСB, etc.
• Cleans the insides of the bus including sweeping, dusting and cleaning windows.
• Other specialized functions as required by contract.
