Job summary

BASIS Prescott is seeking a Monitor to join our bright, passionate team. Hours: Wednesday 12pm-5:30pm, Thursday & Friday 9am-5:30pm. This role supports student safety and school operations in a fast-paced environment.

The Monitor will supervise students during lunches, recess, passing periods, and before and after school, ensuring safety and orderly conduct. Qualifications include a high school diploma or higher and an IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card; experience in a school setting is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or higher.
• Must have a valid IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Experience in a school or child care environment is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students to ensure safety.
• Oversee behavior during lunches, recess, passing periods, and before/after school.
• Report unruly behavior to school management.
• Inform supervisor of damages to school property.
• Respond to emergencies with urgency (injuries, allergies).
• Exercise sound judgement in carrying out duties.
• Assist in front office support, as applicable.
• Maintain regular, full, predictable attendance.
• Supervise individual students or groups during structured/unstructured times.

The role of the Monitor is to monitor student activities, such as lunches, recesses, parking duty, and “Early Bird” and “Late Bird” school programs.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher
• Valid Identity Verified Prints (IVP) Fingerprint Clearance Card

• Experience in a school or child care environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor students to ensure safety
