Job summary

Yellow Brick Road is seeking an Assistant Educator to support the Lead Educator in creating a nurturing, inclusive learning environment where children can thrive and families feel connected.

You will assist with lesson planning, classroom routines, supervision, and family communication, while upholding DHS requirements and safety standards to help every student grow.

Qualifications

• Must meet the DHS Assistant Teacher qualification requirements.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be able to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 40 lbs.
• Willingness to undergo background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
• Must possess CPR/First Aid certification, or willing to obtain within 30 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist Lead Educator with play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans.
• Maintain a positive classroom culture and safety routines.
• Supervise students and monitor development progress.
• Assist with daily cleaning, sanitizing, and safety tasks.
• Communicate with families via the Parent Communication app.
• Collaborate with colleagues for professional development.
