Yellow Brick Road in the United States is hiring an Assistant Educator to support the Lead Educator in creating a nurturing, inclusive learning space where children thrive and curiosity is encouraged.

You will help implement play-based activities, supervise students, communicate with families, and uphold safety, routines, and developmentally appropriate practices while growing your skills through ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Must meet the DHS Assistant Teacher qualification requirements.
• Knowledge of early childhood development principles.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing/sitting, lifting up to 40 lbs).
• Must possess or obtain CPR/First Aid certification within 30 days of employment.
• Background checks and state licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Lead Educator in implementing play-based, age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Help maintain a positive classroom culture that fosters belonging, safety, and curiosity.
• Supervise students and monitor progress as directed by the Lead Educator.
• Support classroom management and daily routines.
• Communicate with families during drop-off/pick-up and via the Parent Communication app.
• Document daily progress and activities as directed.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share ideas and best practices.
