Job summary

North Suburban Medical Center in Thornton is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Mom Baby to lead patient-centered care during the shift. You will oversee admission/discharge, coordinate nursing staff, and partner with managers to drive quality outcomes.

You will implement nursing strategies, support staff development, and ensure inventory and scheduling align with patient needs. This role requires RN licensure, ACLS/BCLS, and neonatal resuscitation training within 30 days, with prior Mom

Qualifications

• RN licensure required with leadership experience preferred.
• ACLS, BCLS and Neonatal Resuscitation Program completed within 30 days of start date.
• Mom Baby experience and leadership preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists with admission and discharge to ensure efficient throughput and high quality care.
• Participates in ongoing assessment of the quality of patient care, with the management team.
• Collaborates with experts and managers to foster teamwork and improved outcomes.
• Supports a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery as needed.
• Implements nursing strategies to improve engagement and throughput.
• Provides guidance on interviewing, selecting, and training staff; supports evaluations and disciplinary actions.
• Manages staff scheduling and labor according to patient care needs and productivity guidelines.
• Assists with inventory control and management of supplies and equipment.
