Job summary

Xcimer Energy is hiring a senior role to build and lead the Molten Salt Laboratory at our Denver headquarters. You will drive the design, commissioning, and operation of high-temperature molten salt facilities and develop a program that informs fusion power plant design and operation.

The ideal candidate has 12+ years in molten salt or liquid metal R&D, hands-on lab leadership, and a track record of translating experimental data into engineering requirements in a rapidly evolving company.

Qualifications

• 12+ years in experimental high-temperature fluids or related R&D.
• Hands-on lab leadership to establish new capabilities.
• Experience designing and executing experiments for complex nuclear/fusion systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, design, build, commissioning, and operation of the Molten Salt Laboratory.
• Develop experimental capabilities and procedures to support fusion plant design.
• Translate results into design requirements for fusion system architecture.
• Mentor scientists and engineers; manage external collaborators.
