Job summary

Centennial Diagnostics is expanding its molecular laboratory team and seeks a hands-on Molecular Technologist for high‑complexity testing, including RT‑PCR and nucleic acid extraction, in a CLIA‑certified setting. The role requires experience with real‑time PCR platforms and following strict SOPs in a fast-paced lab.

You will join a team performing PCR testing with a focus on accuracy, QC review, and timely reporting of patient results. This is a full‑time position on multiple shifts.

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of hands-on clinical molecular laboratory experience.
  • Experience performing PCR or RT-PCR testing.
  • Experience working in a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate patient results.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures and SOPs.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform high-complexity molecular and RT-PCR testing.
  • Perform nucleic acid extraction, amplification, and result analysis.
  • Operate and monitor real-time PCR instrumentation.
  • Review QC results and troubleshoot testing issues.
  • Accurately document and report patient test results.
  • Follow laboratory SOPs and established quality procedures.
  • Participate in proficiency testing and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintain accurate laboratory records.
  • Follow CLIA, CAP, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory environment.
  • Work collaboratively with the molecular laboratory team.

Job description

Multiple Shifts Available – 40 Hours/Week

We are expanding our molecular laboratory team and currently have opportunities available on several shifts:

  • Tuesday–Saturday | 7:00 AM–3:30 PM

Centennial Diagnostics is a locally owned, CAP-certified clinical laboratory specializing in molecular PCR diagnostic testing. We are committed to providing accurate, timely results that help healthcare providers make informed decisions for their patients.

We are looking for aMolecular Technologistto join our growing laboratory team. This is a hands-on clinical laboratory position focused on high-complexity molecular testing and real-time PCR.

About the Role

The Molecular Technologist performs clinical molecular testing from specimen preparation through result analysis. You will work with RT-PCR technology, nucleic acid extraction, quality control, and clinical laboratory procedures in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.

Experience with Applied Biosystems QuantStudio 5 and/or QuantStudio 12 is a strong plus, but we are also interested in candidates with solid clinical molecular/PCR experience on other platforms.

This is a clinical laboratory position. Candidates should have hands‑on experience performing molecular testing in a CLIA-certified laboratory.

What We're Looking For

Required:
