Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Implement Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment compliant SOPs in the lab.
• Perform testing and analysis of clinical specimens using diagnostic methods.
• Ensure proper operation of equipment and manage testing resources.

Position Summary

Molecular Laboratory Technologist to implement Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendment ( CLIA ) compliant standard operating procedures, tests and methods in the Nebraska Public Health Laboratory ( NPHL ). Performs testing and analysis of clinical specimens, utilizing diagnostic methods, e.g. PCR and WGS in molecular microbiology. Responsible for the proper operation of equipment and resources in relationship to testing platforms utilized and for the collection, analysis, review and reporting of findings.

3. Knowledge of whole genome sequencing and current clinical microbiologic practices.
4. Experience in molecular biology relating to PCR and/or WGS .
