Job summary

NeoGenomics in Durham, NC seeks a Molecular Laboratory Technologist to perform complex molecular tests and training. This onsite role supports a Tuesday–Saturday 3:00pm–11:30pm shift, starting as 12:00pm–8:30pm for a period.

You will ensure accuracy, mentor staff, and help uphold quality and safety standards across the lab. The candidate will contribute to interpreting results, maintaining SOPs, and collaborating with a skilled team in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical technology or allied science with clinical laboratory training
• 1 year of high complexity molecular testing experience preferred
• Able to communicate effectively and document clearly
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Ensures accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of test results and mentors others on time management and prioritization
• Determines specimen acceptability and prepares specimens for testing
• Performs molecular tests and documents SOPs accurately
• Applies CAP/CLIA requirements and supports audits and inspections
