Job summary

NeoGenomics Laboratories, Inc. in Fort Myers, FL is seeking an entry-level Laboratory Technician I to support the Molecular department under supervision. You will help process specimens for clinical testing and provide general lab support following established SOPs.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in life or physical science required, or AA/AS with MLT license.
• 1+ year of laboratory technician or assistant experience preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receives, organizes and processes clinical specimens accurately.
• Prepares data, printouts, and documents for review by licensed technologists.
• Operates automated equipment per SOP.
• Prepares reagents and controls and maintains records.
• Maintains clean, functional laboratory environment and schedules equipment maintenance.
• Responds to requests from pathologists and supervisors.
