You will log data, prepare reagents, manage supplies, and assist with quality and safety programs while learning in a fast-paced environment committed to patient care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; emphasis on science courses preferred.
• Basic understanding of laboratory techniques preferred.
• General knowledge of MS Office programs.
• Effective communication skills and strong organization skills.
• Detail oriented and able to work independently.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, multi-tasking environment and maintain production and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Record information in laboratory log books and worksheets to ensure QA of specimens.
• Perform basic lab tasks: operate equipment, print labels, record data, store/retrieve specimens.
• Prepare reagents for procedures under supervision of a technologist.
• Maintain cleanliness of lab and equipment; perform housekeeping tasks.
• Manage department inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Process and route cases to satellite labs; assist with QC improvements and safety programs.
