Job summary

Mayo Clinic in Arizona is seeking a molecular pathologist to join the Hematopathology division. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in molecular genetic testing, including NGS and PCR for oncologic diseases, along with proficiency in chromosome analysis and FISH testing.

Qualified candidates should hold an MD/DO and/or PhD with ABPath MGPath or ABMGG LGG certification. Exemption status is in effect; schedule is Full Time with 80 hours per pay period.

• MD or DO and/or PhD with board certification in molecular pathology.
• Experience in molecular genetic testing for oncologic diseases.
• Experience with NGS, PCR, FISH and chromosome analysis.

Responsibilities

• Specialize in molecular genetic testing for oncologic diseases.
• Perform NGS, PCR, FISH testing and chromosome analysis.
• Develop and validate LDTs and monitor QA/QC.
• Onboard NGS service offerings and optimize workflows.
• Participate in research and departmental educational programs.
