Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Laboratory/Technical Assistant for the Human Genetics Institute of New Jersey. The role involves executing experiments in molecular and developmental biology and managing lab operations, including ordering reagents and handling budgets.

This is a part-time, on-site position in Piscataway, NJ. Open to candidates with a Bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical field and a willingness to learn new techniques.

Responsibilities

• Executes experiments of molecular and developmental biology such as DNA / RNA manipulation, animal genotyping, or gene expression staining; crossing fish and obtaining embryos can be included.
• Manages lab including ordering chemical reagents, organizing the lab equipment, and processing official documents, such as, making protocol or managing budgets.
