Base pay range: $22.00/hr - $24.50/hr
A client is seeking a lab technician in Livingston, NJ. The ideal candidate will have at least one year of experience (academic or industry) in a lab environment. They will be on a team of about 15 technicians, responsible for genetic testing of gene disorders. This individual will log and track patient samples for genomics carrier screening and molecular gene testing, prepare samples for testing by extracting and purifying DNA, participate in research projects on alternate molecular approaches of gene testing and gene expression analysis such as Karyomapping, perform SNP-based assays, and document results. Shift: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
- Log and track patient samples for genomics carrier screening and molecular gene testing

- Undergraduate degree in Biology, Micro-Biology, Bio-Chemistry, Genetics or related fields
- Pluses: SNP-based assay experience
