Job summary

Qualifications

• Ph.D. required in Botany, Ecology, Biology, or equivalent doctoral degree.
• Strong publication record and grant funding experience.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills; mentoring ability desired.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Plant Molecular Ecology research integrating fieldwork, herbarium, and living collections.
• Lead development of research projects including planning, fieldwork, and lab work.
• Disseminate findings in peer‑reviewed journals and at conferences.
• Present research at seminars and general audience events.
• Provide bioinformatics and analytical computing expertise to the department.
• Seek independent funding for projects; teach courses at Penn and Morris Arboretum.
