Job summary

PathGroup in Nashville, TN seeks a Molecular Diagnostics Technologist II with at least three years of MT/CLS/MB experience or equivalent training to perform high-complexity testing under CLIA. The role covers specimen processing, analysis, and reporting with minimal supervision.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology or Molecular Technology or equivalent.
• Ascp MT/CLS/MB certification preferred.
• Tennessee State Laboratory License preferred.
• Maintain ongoing continuing education for certification/licensure.

Responsibilities

• Receives and processes specimens according to department protocols.
• Assists the Supervisor/Manager with ordering supplies and inventory.
• Produces, interprets and reports accurate and precise test results.
• Identifies and corrects issues affecting test performance or reporting.
• Communicates pertinent information to supervisor or manager.
• Performs instrument maintenance and method troubleshooting.
• Validates new methods.
• Completes CAP surveys.
• Maintains QA/QC programs and monitors.
• Adheres to productivity guidelines.
• Follows all safety precautions and lab procedures.
• Complies with Privacy and Security policies; protects PHI.
• Addresses client concerns.
