Job summary

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for an innovative molecular diagnostics laboratory in Eden Prairie, Minnesota. This is a Temp-to-Hire, full-time, onsite opportunity working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The role involves performing high-complexity molecular testing in a CLIA-certified environment, including DNA extraction, PCR, QC, and reagent preparation, with a focus on accuracy and patient care.

Qualifications

• MLT or MT certification required.
• Bachelor's degree in Biology or related life sciences preferred.
• Clinical laboratory experience, preferably in molecular diagnostics.
• Experience with LIS and clinical data entry preferred.
• ASCP certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform specimen accessioning, DNA extraction, PCR testing, post-PCR processing, reagent preparation, and other molecular lab procedures.
• Verify patient specimens, maintain documentation and laboratory information systems.
• Perform qualitative and quantitative assay reviews with quality control and regulatory compliance.
• Maintain CLIA, CAP, HIPAA compliance and lab safety standards.
• Participate in troubleshooting, training, meetings, and special projects to improve processes.
• Assist with laboratory maintenance, equipment monitoring, and on-call duties.
