Job summary

Eurofins USA PSS Insourcing Solutions seeks a scientist to support analytical development for oligonucleotide and mRNA-LNP products. You will design and execute molecular biology and cell-based assays, analyze data, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to method development, qualification, validation, transfer, and routine execution.

The role requires independent work, strong attention to detail, and adherence to quality systems. On-site in Boston, with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• B.S. in Molecular Biology, Genetics, Bioengineering, Biochemistry or related field with 3+ years of industry experience or M.S. with 1+ years.
• Hands-on pipetting, liquid handling, sample prep, safe handling of biological/chem materials.
• Experience developing, optimizing nucleic acid assays (qPCR, RT-qPCR, dPCR, ddPCR) including primer/probe design.
• Proficiency in immunoassay analyses (ELISA/MSD).
• Ability to plan/perform experiments, analyze data, troubleshoot challenges, and prepare technical docs.
• Familiarity with GDP/GLP and MS Office; data-analysis tools.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, optimize, and execute molecular biology and cell-based assays for oligo and mRNA-LNP characterization.
• Plan and conduct experiments with minimal supervision, including sample prep, data analysis, and reporting.
• Contribute to analytical method development, qualification, validation, transfer, and routine execution.
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and improve assay performance and workflows.
• Translate assignments into clear objectives, timelines, and deliverables amidst changing priorities.
• Maintain accurate electronic laboratory records.
• Author or review protocols, SOPs, reports, and regulatory submission content.
• Communicate results and risks through reports and presentations.
• Collaborate with lab colleagues and cross-functional teams; promote knowledge sharing.
• Support lab operations: equipment readiness, reagents, inventory; uphold GDP/GLP and safety.
