Job summary

The Lundquist Institute is seeking a Staff Research Associate to provide technical and operational support for biomedical research studies at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. You will assist with molecular biology, protein analysis, cell culture, and specimen processing, while helping maintain efficient lab operations.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree in biology or related field and at least one year of lab experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Biomedical Sciences, Biotechnology, or closely related field required.
• Minimum of one year of research laboratory experience.
• Foundational knowledge of molecular biology principles and laboratory techniques.
• Experience with laboratory documentation and data organization.

Responsibilities

• Assist senior staff with molecular biology, protein, and cellular assays per established protocols.
• Prepare samples, reagents, and materials for experiments.
• Perform routine molecular biology procedures including PCR setup and nucleic acid prep.
• Support immunostaining and protein-based assays.
• Maintain accurate laboratory records and data entry.
