Job summary

University of California, Irvine is seeking a skilled lab professional to join the Department of Neurology. Under supervision of the Principal Investigator, you will perform molecular and cellular biology experiments, including PCR, cloning, and tissue culture, with potential mouse handling.

Strong communication and organizational skills are essential. Required: a Bachelor’s degree in neuroscience or biological sciences and excellent interpersonal abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular biology experiments including PCR, RT-PCR, cloning in a fast-paced team.
• Maintain tissue culture and perform gel electrophoresis and Western blots.
• Assist with transfection, microscopy, and occasional mouse handling.
• Demonstrate attention to detail and strong communication and organizational skills.
