Job summary

Indiana University Indianapolis is seeking a Research Technician for the Azaiez-Booth Laboratory to support basic and translational research on the genetic underpinnings of human disease. This is predominantly a wet-lab role with bench-based work in a collaborative environment.

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in science and at least 2 years of related research experience; 3 years in a hands-on lab and animal-model experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of related research experience.
• 3 years of hands-on lab experience preferred.
• Experience with animal models including mouse colony maintenance, breeding, tissue collection, dissections, and genotyping.

Responsibilities

• Performs data analysis, figure preparation, and research documentation.
• Maintains detailed, accurate experimental records and reproducible workflows.
• Conducts molecular biology and cell culture experiments with QC.
• Supports lab operations, inventories, and ordering of supplies.
• Trains junior staff and collaborates with PIs and lab members.
