Qualifications

• Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree in genetics, molecular biology, biochemistry, cell biology, biomedical sciences, or a related field by start of appointment.
• Ability and willingness to work with mouse models are required for this position.
• Strong hands-on molecular biology skills with ability to design experiments and troubleshoot.
• Experience in one or more of the listed areas (molecular cloning, RNA biology, cell culture, genome editing, sequencing, variant characterization) is encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Lead experimental functional genomics projects and develop high-throughput and gene-specific assays.
• Characterize variants affecting RNA splicing, gene expression, or protein function; perform molecular cloning and genome editing.
• Design, execute, and interpret experiments from hypothesis to data publication; troubleshoot complex systems.
