Job summary

Mol-Son, LLC is seeking skilled Journeymen Mold Makers in Mattawan, Michigan. You will build, modify and repair precision plastic injection molds, collaborating with design engineers to assess feasibility and function.

You will mentor apprentices and ensure dimensional accuracy and safe work practices while supporting delivery schedules and quality standards on first shift.

Qualifications

• Blueprints and CAD/CAM programming knowledge required.
• General mold design, build and function experience.
• Injection molding knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Review tool design (model, drawings).
• Identify areas for improved construction and ease of machining.
• Inform other departments of project needs (EDM, CNC, polish, etc).
• Communicate with management to meet mold delivery dates.
• Assure all mold components are received before final assembly.
• Train apprentices and junior mold makers.
• Verify accuracy and quality of work performed by others under supervision.
• Maintain safety and housekeeping standards.
