Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and material requirements to determine optimal design and production methods.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production personnel to ensure quality and functionality of tools.
• Create and maintain molds used in the production line.
• Use precision measuring instruments to measure and inspect finished tools.
• Maintain accurate records of tool design, production, and performance.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and production standards.
• Troubleshoot issues with tools and recommend repairs or modifications.

Job Summary

The Molding Toolmaker in the NJ plant is responsible for creating and maintaining tools and equipment to support production. This person will have in-depth knowledge of metalwork and engineering, a good eye for detail, and the ability to visualize structural components. They will also translate ideas into expertly crafted metal forms ready for the manufacturing process. The Molding Toolmaker will collaborate with their team and demonstrate ENNOVI’s values of accountability, teamwork, and integrity.

Main Responsibilities

• Analyze blueprints, specifications, and material requirements to determine optimal design and production methods.
• Collaborate with engineers, machinists, and production personnel to ensure quality and functionality of tools.
• Create and maintain molds used in the production line.
• Use precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and gauge blocks, to measure and inspect finished tools.
• Maintain accurate records of tool design, production, and performance.
• Adhere to safety, quality, and production standards.
• Troubleshoot issues with tools and recommend repairs or modifications.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience working as a molding toolmaker.
• Experience working with injection molding.
• In-depth knowledge of machine tools and their uses.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and design schematics.
• Extensive experience with metalworking tools including drills, milling machines, grinders, and lathes.
• Experience with quality control analysis.
