Molding Team Lead - 3rd Shift

This position reports to: Planning & Fulfillment Manager

Your role and responsibilities

1. Production Support:
   • Ensure equipment is operational and safe, with SOPs and JHAs present and followed.
   • Perform quality inspections and first-piece checks.
   • Ensure availability of parts, tools, and materials for the team.
   • Manage waste movement to designated areas.
   • Assist with equipment set-ups and changeovers.
   • Request maintenance via EAM system and follow up on issues.
   • Conduct monthly safety observation tours.
   • Collect data for shift reports.
   • Provide comprehensive hand-offs to the next shift.
2. Team Support:
   • Train, motivate, and cross-train team members.
   • Support team problem-solving and production needs.
   • Identify individual skill sets for strategic team placement.
   • Cover absenteeism and relieve associates for breaks.
   • Initiate and suggest continuous improvement projects.
   • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications for the role

• High School diploma or equivalent; technical background helpful.
• Basic math and computer skills, familiarity with Excel preferred.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes and equipment.
• Energetic, organized, and good listener with prioritization skills.
• Ability to train others to meet production standards.
• Strong problem-solving, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of applicable policies, rules, and safety ownership.
• Legal work authorization in the US is required.
