Job summary

Becton, Dickinson and Company (BD) is offering an internship in its Columbus, Ohio manufacturing locations. The role focuses on supporting a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

You will work with a mentor on projects aligned with your academic background and gain hands-on experience applying classroom knowledge to real-world manufacturing challenges. Minimum education includes a high school diploma or GED, with pursuit of a BA/BS in Plastics

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Working towards a BA/BS in Plastics Engineering or related field.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Available to work a minimum of eight continuous weeks.
• Willing to work in any Columbus, Ohio manufacturing locations.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting/Root Cause analysis
• Work with a mentor on project assignments which are commensurate with academic background
• Work with a mentor on project assignments outside of classroom curriculum to gain experience
• Apply classroom knowledge to real life applications while using technical expertise
• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

Minimum Education:

• H.S, Diploma/GED
• Working towards a BA/BS Degree in Plastics Engineering related field

Minimum Experience/Qualifications:

• 18 years of age or older
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
• Possess or currently pursuing a degree in an Engineering
• Available to work a minimum of eight continuous weeks
• Must be willing to work in any of our Columbus manufacturing locations
