Job summary

Prysmian Group in North Las Vegas is seeking a Junior Process Technician to set up and run molding, finishing, and assembly equipment according to the production schedule while ensuring safety and quality. You will perform mold changes, adjust machines, and monitor performance to minimize scrap and maximize efficiency.

The role requires experience in molding plastics processing, machine start-up/shutdown, and forklift operation, with a high school diploma or GED and ability to pass a background

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of related molding plastics processing and maintenance experience preferred.
• Experience in machine start-up and shutdown.
• Able to lift to 30 / 50 pounds.
• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Must be able to speak, read/comprehend, and write in English.
• Submit to a background check and pre-employment drug screen.
• Pass work physical and lift test.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate material handling, molding, finishing, and assembly equipment.
• Perform mold changes and machine adjustments.
• Start up and shut down molding machines.
• Operate forklift to do mold changes and move molds.
• Fill daily process records to control and maintain machine running conditions.
• Conduct minor repairs and change inserts as necessary.
• Monitor production quantities for color change, mold change, and product completions.
• Identify and resolve equipment/process issues to maximize production quality and efficiency.
• Provide recommendations to engineering about process improvements.
• Inspect machines hourly to ensure good quality parts and prevent scrap.
• Report daily shift performance including safety, quality, labor hours, production tickets, scrap, and first part approvals.
