Job summary

Ultradent is seeking a Molding Process Technician II to adjust and monitor injection molding equipment, ensuring product quality and process efficiency. Responsibilities include setting press tonnage, organizing End of Arm tooling for robot removal, and maintaining documentation for production releases.

The role requires hands-on molding experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Three years minimum experience in a plastic manufacturing facility as a process technician/set up technician.
• Proficient in reading and applying quality measurements.
• Experience with mold tooling and components.
• Strong problem-solving and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
• Knowledge of molding processing including plastics.
• Proficient in basic mathematics.
• Experience with press tonnage setting and mold damage protection.

Responsibilities

• Adjust and monitor injection molding equipment.
• Diagnose faults and perform repairs as needed, ensuring continuous process control.
• Maintain standard cycle times, product quality, equipment performance, and identify maintenance needs.
• Prepare quality and production documentation prior to release to production.
• Set up End of Arm tooling for robotic part removal and start molding machines.
• Program and operate injection molding machines and pull/set injection molds.
• Ensure first piece quality before releasing to production; proper handling of materials, molds and tooling.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and maintain a positive safety culture.
