Job summary

Precision is seeking a Process Technician in Travelers Rest, SC to set up, process, and qualify precision parts while monitoring production.

The role requires troubleshooting skills, adherence to SOP and GMP practices, and collaboration with supervisors to prioritize daily mold and machine issues. Strong safety awareness and 2–5 years in manufacturing are desired.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Technical degree in a process-related field preferred.
• Self-motivated and able to troubleshoot machines.
• Understand machine functionality and operate safely.
• 2–5 years manufacturing experience.

Responsibilities

• Verify material matches BOM.
• Set cycle times for standard efficiency.
• Logbook entry and pass down of shifts issues.
• Set up/repair and troubleshoot machines to produce quality parts.
• Stop presses for color changes and purge material per SOP.
• Perform Mold Changes / Tool pulls and set.
• Ensure molds and molding machines run at maximum performance.
• Inspect production – in process.
• Notify Quality if a defect is detected.
• Analyze problems and adjust to meet specs for size/appearance/function.
• Maintain and complete all necessary reports and records.
• Communicate with supervisors to determine production priorities daily.
• Continuously pursue quality and productivity improvements on line.
• Apply standardized work and participate in improvements.
• Comply with safety policies and GMP practices.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Job description

Process Technician is responsible for setting up, processing and qualifying precision parts, while monitoring production.

DUTIES:

• Verify material matches bill of material (BOM)
• Set cycle times for standard efficiency
• Logbook entry/ Pass down of shifts issues
• Make set up / repair and troubleshoot machines to produce quality parts
• Stop presses for color changes and purge out remaining material per work instruction and standard operation procedures (SOP)
• Perform Mold Changes / Tool pulls and sets
• Ensures all molds and molding machine runs at maximum performances
• Inspect production – in process
• Notify Quality if a defect is detected
• Analyze problem areas when parts are not meeting quality specification. Make all required adjustments to ensure that all parts meet specification for size/appearance and functionality
• Maintain and complete all necessary reports and records
• Communicate and work with supervisors to determine production priorities on a daily shift activities and on mold and machines issues.
• Continuously work for best quality and productivity on line
• Apply the Standardized work in the work place and participate to the improvements of standards
• Comply with all company safety policies and procedures as well maintain good housekeeping and GMP practices
• Other duties as may be assigned by management

SPECIAL NOTES

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand, walk, climb, reach, stooping, step onto the machine for parts and balancing when stepping on the machine for trouble shooting. Employee will be occasionally required to lift up to 55 pounds, kneel and crawl
