Job summary

Precision Talent Partners, LLC seeks a Molding Process Engineering Manager for our Rochester, NY facility. This onsite leadership role oversees a team of Process Engineers and Molding Technicians across multiple shifts in a regulated manufacturing environment.

You will lead injection molding process development, validation, and automation initiatives, driving OEE improvements and ensuring robust quality systems. Strong data-driven decision making and cross-functional liaison are essential.

Qualifications

• 7 years of injection molding experience with process development and optimization.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineers and/or technical teams.
• Strong expertise in scientific molding and data-driven process control.
• Deep knowledge of molding equipment, tooling, and automation systems.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment focused on quality and continuous improvement.
• Ability to lead multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Lead injection molding process development, optimization, and standardization using scientific molding principles.
• Own process validation (IQ/OQ/PQ), mold trials, and production readiness.
• Provide technical leadership for troubleshooting molding, tooling, and automation challenges.
• Partner cross-functionally with Quality, Tooling, Manufacturing, and NPI teams.
• Drive improvements in OEE, downtime reduction, and overall operational performance.
• Lead capital equipment evaluation, selection, and implementation.
• Establish standardized process documentation, setup sheets, and control plans.
• Support quality investigations, CAPAs, and process-related defect resolution.
• Serve as a technical interface with customers regarding molding processes.

Compensation Range: $90,000 - $130,000 base bonus

• Scientific molding certification.
• Experience with lean manufacturing methodologies.
• Proficiency with Minitab, SolidWorks, or similar tools.
