RESRG Automotive in Morehead, KY is seeking a Molding Process Engineer to drive the launch, optimization, and sustaining of high-quality molded components within a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

You will mentor technicians, lead safety initiatives, and push for scrap reduction, cycle-time improvements, and tool-change efficiency while applying DOE and process-window concepts to deliver robust molding processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent hands-on molding leadership experience.
• Experience with injection molding, tooling trials, and process optimization.
• Strong analytical skills and data-driven approach to root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead safe, reliable molding operations with a focus on safety and continuous improvement.
• Reduce scrap, optimize cycle times, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
• Launch and validate new molds through tooling trials and process development.
• Develop robust molding processes using DOE, process windows, and capability studies.
• Analyze production data and quality metrics to identify improvement opportunities.
• Mentor technicians and coordinate tool changes to meet production priorities.
