Job summary

Cargill is seeking a dedicated Production Worker to operate molding and automated packaging equipment within a supportive environment. Qualifications

Job type: Full time
Shift Available: 12 hours night shift. 4 days on / 4 days off
Compensation: $22.50/hr, plus $0.55/hr for shift differential

Key Accountabilities

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Operate Molding and Automated Packaging Equipment and Bindler automated Packaging Equipment
  • Read schedule for production lines and communicate with the operator from the previous shift to determine the status of the lines. (Machinery problems change over status, availability of paste, special operating instructions, quality control issues, etc.)
  • Monitor line temperatures of product from use tank to tempering unit and from tempering unit to depositor
  • Change and maintain plates (2-person job)
  • Complete safety training
  • Complete quality checks and document results
  • Do routine trouble shooting and maintenance
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Cargill requires employees to be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Able to work with different temperature and humidity conditions in the work area that can vary from temperatures ranging from 65 degrees F up to or exceeding 100 degrees, and very humid (near or over 80%) to ultra-low humidity (less than 40%)
  • Must be able to work with noise levels up to 115 decibels requiring the use of hearing protection for most of the day.
  • Must be required to wear plastic gloves while performing duties involving potential direct contact with the product
  • Ability to regularly walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and climb stairs and lift a minimum of 50 pounds.
  • Ability to work overtime and work holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts in a Union environment
  • Basic math skills


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous food production experience
  • Forklift previous experience
  • High School diploma / GED equivalent
  • Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
