Job summary

US Farathane Orion is seeking a full-time Molding Manager to lead projects and drive continuous process and tooling improvements within the facility. The role focuses on managing production processes, training staff, and implementing cost-saving initiatives. Strong experience in injection molding and lean methods is essential for success.

The position requires deep technical acumen, leadership capabilities, and the ability to travel as needed to support global standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years prior leadership experience preferred.
• Minimum of ten years’ experience in process engineering, tooling, equipment and process improvement
• Working knowledge of customer functional performance requirements
• In-depth understanding and application of concepts, theories, and principles position discipline
• Injection molding (part design and processing) experience
• Automated and plastic materials experience
• Strong technical project management, manufacturing engineering, statistical process control capability, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent technical and mechanical aptitude
• Strong understanding of MRP, quality control, purchasing, and accounting
• Lean manufacturing experience a plus; to include Kepner-Trego, 5 Why, and Six Sigma problem solving skills
• Willing and able to travel as necessary
• Proficient in Microsoft office

The Molding Manager is responsible for managing projects and supplying direction for continuous process and tooling improvements within the facility. US Farathane is the leading source of plastics manufacturing, supplying the automotive industry for over 50 years. Through highly technical research and development, coupled with a diverse and knowledgeable Management Team and dedicated Associates, US Farathane continues to grow each year.
